Yes ,This is what i do. Trying out stuff…to see if “it” works. This time it did: Putting”Defiance” on top of the unfinished “New Balance” A good day. The new object ‘New balance'(not quite finished,as mentioned) was inspired by the ‘Junkies’ on the Gran Via in Madrid who always seemed to wear ‘New Balance’ sneakers, always moving ‘to and fro’ but never really toppling over, hahahaha… I had this in my mind for a long time and now, today on 9/11/2014 I took this pic! I’m still laughing…. or should I cry…or just get on with my business?
3 Chairs -semi top view- from Left to Right: “Fast Harry Chair”, “Dark Prince Chair” and “Chair-i-Table”(if you ‘flip’ this chair over you will find 2 other sitting possibilities- so 3 chairs in one! -I still have to take photographs of the 2 flipped versions. -I need a good “Model”, though first!, I’m not an option. )
These photographs show the object from both sides, profile view. I had fun doing this one! Again, classic minimalism but with my twist.
This object has so many different angles which are cool. I just opted for 3… -Any way you look at “Dyslexika”,it will always surprise you!
The new object “Dyslexika” photographed with my studio camera in the living room on the day it was completed(Monday,August 25th 2014 in West Vancouver, Canada). This object plays with tension on various levels, mostly with mine! “Dyslexika” is something that just happened(don’t ask me how I did this…I’m dyslexic!-This is something I will not try to do again…in the near future, at least.
-This object glows from the inside. It transmits a calm, warm glow; delicate, sweet and tranquil.
This object again is a metaphor: The drum skin has been beaten and banged up all of it’s life to the delight and enjoyment of others. Yet still it remains intact(more or less). Now it resonates beautifully but silently with dignity and honour emitting a kind of ‘love’, a kind of strength that we can only aspire to.
This object has been waiting to be finished for a while now. Today I built the base, cleaned “it”up + photographed “it” on the patio table after it stopped raining. The “real” photograph I will make as soon as the weather gets better. “Sweet Delicate Thing” is what it is: Sweet and Delicate. I’m sure that it makes you smile or gives you a good feeling!
