The new object “Dyslexika” photographed with my studio camera in the living room on the day it was completed(Monday,August 25th 2014 in West Vancouver, Canada). This object plays with tension on various levels, mostly with mine! “Dyslexika” is something that just happened(don’t ask me how I did this…I’m dyslexic!-This is something I will not try to do again…in the near future, at least.
-This object glows from the inside. It transmits a calm, warm glow; delicate,sweet and tranquil.
This object again is a metaphor: The drum skin has been beaten and banged up all of it’s life to the delight and enjoyment of others. Yet still it remains intact(more or less).Now it resonates beautifully but silently with dignity and honour emitting a kind of ‘love’, a kind of strength that we can only aspire to.
This object has been waiting to be finished for a while now. Today I built the base, cleaned “it”up + photographed “it” on the patio table after it stopped raining. The “real” photograph I will make as soon as the weather gets better. “Sweet Delicate Thing” is what it is: Sweet and Delicate. I’m sure that it makes you smile or gives you a good feeling!
*Mankind” is the result of the cut up “Flop Object”(an object I worked on for a long time, but then suddenly decided to trash). I cut all the salvaged wood into perfect ‘Golden Rhombi’, then assorted all the pieces on a square wood panel. This painting/object can be seen from all sides. With each Rotation, it gives you a different Sensation…(that Rhymes!) It can even be put up diagonally. This piece highlights the greedy, “Ant-like” Occupation and Restructuring of Mother Earth by Yours Truly: “Mankind”.

This plywood object: ‘Dyslexic Geometry’ was completely ruined when I glued the last piece.(Too much weight was put on one side during the clamping process and it exploded!) I took these pics the night before the disaster. Shit happens, but I went nuts anyway. The next day I cut the whole “thing” apart, in order to salvage something! Once I’m in a better state of mind I’ll try to rebuild this complicated “construction”
This is a detail of “Zwischenwelt” from 1993. I think that it is appropriate to publish this painting again for this reason: I find it interesting that all these airplanes in the past few days, weeks and months have gone missing or were shot down. It seems to me that there are GOVERNMENTS on this planet which want to confuse, mislead and frighten the general public in order to have a new justification to begin a war. As if 9/11 wasn’t enough already(sacrificing all those lives just to have a reason to invade Iraq)!
WAR = Wicked Ambitions Realized !
This is a gift to Nadim Amar. This little painting was in my “unfinished work” box for 3 years until I mounted it on a square (painted white) piece of plywood (but not in the centre) just like you see it in the photo. Now, finally it is finished!
Because the painting itself is not centred the eyes move back and forth(right to left ) and the colours vibrate in all directions giving that feeling of “Resonance”.
I took this Photo of myself flying to Vancouver, Canada from Frankfurt, Germany in May of 2007. What was in store for me? I’m publishing this photo here in my ‘Blog’ section since I am very photo-shy now and very few photos of myself exist.
-This object is based entirely on the “Golden Rectangle”. The ‘Golden Section’ or the ‘Divine Section’ can be seen clearly if you look at where the red lines intersect. Also notice how the red lines run perfectly parallel and perpendicular to the surface it stands on.
This object could be made a lot larger. Actually, it could be a cool building! -I chose this size because I had the plywood for it available in my studio. The object balances perfectly on top of the the little plexi-glass cube, giving the illusion of defying gravity. But how does it balance in the first place with such unequal weight distribution? hmmm…
‘Hommage to Defiance” is an hommage to basically all kinds of ‘Defiance’. Don’t let “RULES” or “LAWS” get in your way or stop you from expressing what you have to say to the world(not harming others, of course)!
